Home Based Businesses
I saw a post this morning, offering consultant sign ups at a discount for a company called Pure Romance. I have been to a few parties prior to moving to Germany and simply LOVED them. Now, I am an Independent Distributor for AdvoCare and I love the products, but the business is hard to come by in Germany. You'd think that several wives in one place would be the ideal environment for someone like me to make tons of money. But alas, it isn't. There is this tricky thing called Home Based Business approval, here in this Army Garrison. Unfortunately, products like AdvoCare is NOT HBB approved because of the German customs import laws. This deterred me from further pursuing the business here, and just advertising the product. However, I have also come to the conclusion that I do not care for the laws and rules, and I'll sell it anyways. Advertising though, is hit or miss.
This is why I am hesitant to even think of beginning something like Pure Romance. With that being said, I'm working part time, I'm not making a lot of money, and I have to be at home half the time to work on school work. I feel like doing Pure Romance parties on the weekend would be the KEY to my enjoyment and money making success; but I am still hesitant. Is the investment really going to pay me back?
Here are a few paragraphs from a blog a read from a former consultant. I thought they were pretty interesting.

WHAT HAS PURE ROMANCE DONE FOR YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?
"It has brought in so many great people. My sponsor for one has been one of the most upbeat and funny women I have ever known. One of the reasons why I stayed in the business so long was because of my Pure Romance sisters. It has also taken some years off my life socially. I will not lie, working weekends was hard on my friendships, and I honestly think I lost several friendships along the way because I was working so much. One thing I never truly learned was balance. It’s very important, especially when you are self employed."
Balance and Ryanne do not mix! I have had a hard time in the past balancing life, school, work and fun! I think I have begun to find a good mix of things, but adding this may be difficult. If I create a schedule for myself, I definitely think I could be successful. Beginning with maybe two parties a month on Fridays or Saturdays, I could definitely increase income and decrease stress by adding a little fun!
"Pure Romance has also taught me to keep an open mind. Over the years, I have made contact with tons of women from many walks of life: lesbians, virgins, Muslims, Catholics, swingers, women that have never had an orgasm. I treat each of them with respect, and I actually learned so much.I don’t believe that I would be the same woman I am today without all the great women I have met since I began my business."
This is AMAZING because I need to have this type of cultural awareness and open mind for the profession I plan on being in. Something that could help me to improve this may be EXACTLY what I need.
HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU MAKE?
"I really have no problem with sharing that. As a consultant who obtained the 50% discount for life, I actually made half of everything I sold. In 2011, my total sales were near $30,000. I actually made more money at my party job last year than I did at my desk job."
Hmmm..... Money making is GOING to depend on how hard one works, no doubt about that. My question is, is there an audience for this in Germany?? AdvoCare is great, but spreading it via word of mouth has been challenging thus far. As I ponder this and gather more research, leave me your insight for my next blog post!! Happy Fall!
